A. ON THE PLANE

1. aisle BE AE /aɪl/    a long narrow space between rows of seats 
    in a plane.




2. aisle seat
     a seat by the aisle
3. business class BE /ˈbɪz.nɪs ˌklɑːs/  AE /ˈbɪz.nɪs ˌklæs/
    the area where people who are travelling for business sit; it is 
    sometimes the same as First-class.

4.  cabin BE  AE /ˈkæb.ɪn/
     the area where passengers sit in an airplane, the interior of the 
     airplane

5.  captain BE/ˈkæp.tɪn/  AE /ˈkæp.tən/
     the person who flies the plane and is in charge of the plane.

6.  cockpit Be AE /ˈkɑːk.pɪt/
     the part  of the plane where the captain and co-pilot sit to by the 
     plane.

     free, it does not cost any money 
8.  co-pilot BE AE /ˈkoʊˌpaɪ.lət/
     a pilot who helps the main pilot on an airplane.

     the lowest class of traveling, economy  tickets are the cheapest 
     ticket.

10. emergency exist
      the part of the plane that opens and passengers can exit during 
      an accident.

      more expensive tickets with better seating and more services; 
     first class has bigger seats than economy class.

      a safety device used during an emergency landing in water
13. overhead compartment / overhead bin
      a place to store carry-on bags above the passenger seats

14. oxygen mask BE /ˈɒk.sɪ.dʒən ˌmɑːsk/AE /ˈɑːk.sɪ.dʒən ˌmæsk/
      a safety device that give passengers oxygen during an accident

15. pilot BE AE /ˈpaɪ.lət/
      a person who flies an aircraft

      a line of seats on the plane from the aisle to the window

17. seat belt BE AE /ˈsiːt ˌbelt/ 
      a safety device that holds passengers on the plane. 

18. steward BE /ˈstjuː.əd/ AE  /ˈstuː.ɚd/  (flight attendent)
      a man who takes care of passengers on the plane

19. stewardess BE AE /ˈstjuːədes/  (flight attendent)
      a woman who takes care of passengers on the plan

20. takeoff BE /ˈteɪk.ɒf/  AE /ˈteɪk.ɑːf/
      the moment when an aircraft leaves the ground and begins to
      fly

      the moment when an aircraft lands 

22.  turbulence BE AE /ˈtɝː.bjə.ləns/
        movement of the air that causes a rough flight

24.  window seat BE /ˈwɪn.dəʊ ˌsiːt/ AE /ˈwɪn.doʊ ˌsiːt/
       a seat by the window
